SCHEDULED TRIP RESERVATIONS & CANCELLATION POLICY

A deposit of $200 per person is required to make a reservation more than 30 days before trip departure. Balance is due 30 days before trip departure. Payment-in-full is required for late sign ups (those who register within 30 days of trip departure). Prices include Maine waterway fee, road access fee, transportation to and from the river, food and all equipment necessary for the trip.

CANCELLATION POLICY FOR SCHEDULED TRIPS: Cancellations over 60 days before trip departure: Full deposit refund minus a $25 cancellation charge or apply 100% to another trip within 3 years.  30 to 60 days before trip departure: Deposit is non-refundable but may be applied to another trip within three years. Cancellations within 30 days of trip date: 50% of trip cost will be charged and the remaining 50% is non-refundable but may be applied to another trip within three years.

* Allagash Canoe Trips reserves the right to cancel a trip at anytime. Although this rarely occures, 100% of amount paid to Allagash Canoe Trips will be refunded. Allagash Canoe Tirps encourages you to purchase your own TRIP INSURANCE that is intended to cover medical expenses, trip cancellations, lost lugage, flight accident and other losses incurred while traveling.

The Bonaventure river flows out of the Chic Choc Mountains of the Gaspe Peninsula, and its upper course cuts swiftly through hillsides, producing a surprise around every corner. Its remarkable, crystal-clear water and cobblestone river bed combine with forested banks to produce deep emerald green color as the river hurries to meet the sea. We follow this trip with a hike in the Chic Choc mountains with chance to see caribou above timberline. This trip is for the hardy canoeist with good whitewater skills

CUSTOM TRIPS

Our schedule permitting, we can reserve a trip on dates of your choice. If you open your trip to others and give us several months notice, scheduled trips rates may apply. If you want to limit the size of your group you may be asked to pay a higher rate depending on party size. Groups of less than 5 adults will have to pay a higher fee per person. Groups of 10 or more, represented by one person, may be eligible for a discounted rate, especially in May, June or September. Below are a few trip suggestions. Let us know your needs as far in advance as possible.

Custom Trip Reservations & Cancellation Policy


Pricing for our custom trips vary. Typically a 1-4 day trip will be $225.00/person/day. A 5-7 day trip will be $200.00/person/day. Rates are based on a 5 person minimum, and price may not include waterway, camping and road fees. More than ten people can go for the scheduled trip rate. For larger groups or off season, contact us for greater discounts.

St John River (intermediate and advanced)

St Croix River 3-6 days (beginer and intermediate)
The St Croix River offers a nice mix of moving water and rapids, nice campsites, small mouth Bass fishing and beautiful sunsets and sunrises! The St Croix is an excellent river for learning whitewater paddling skills.

Moose River 3-5 days (beginer and intermediate)
Great hearty beginner and family trip, with waterfalls, short portage, hike, and a gentle paddle on the river! 

Day Trips - Whitewater canoe instruction (solo and tandem) or canoe poling
East or West Outlet of the Kennebec River flowing out of Moosehead lake.  Beautiful streatches of clasic Maine rivers!
